Not A Product of a The Machine By: NHM

Im Not A Product Of the Machine
That's what I tell myself daily.
I do not Conform to familiarity, I am an Original.
Free of stereotype, free of branding, I am only one.
I can not be mass produced for your misuse,
for your abuse or for any purpose you may have.

I am a woman deserving of freedom, to come
and go as I please. I can be amongst you I can be above you,
but under no one.
I have busted my tail, I have sweat the blood of despair,
I have conquered your adversity, I have played fair.

My daddy told me I was beautiful, No makeup
No pretense, plain as a white canvas.
He told me always be yourself
that is enough to captivate an audience
and yet when everyone was watching, for a moment
I became an actress, a codependent co-star.
Losing the lead role as I reveled in mediocrity to simply turn your wheels.
I slept on my beauty, I denied my unique thread
only to sleep with my enemy disgusted my simplicity,
fornicated and perverted by statistic.

I woke up one morning sore from all your slavery
to be reminded
I am not a product of your machine.
God gave me every strand on my head
he kissed my cheek and made me beautiful in his image.
He gave me a mind to nurture,
a Talent to display,
He gave me the road map
to never go astray.
I AM NO PRODUCT OF A MACHINE
I AM NEDYNIA
I AM BEAUTIFUL
I AM EDUCATED, DEDICATED
IMPOSSIBLY DUPLICATED
I AM A STAR
I AM WOMAN
I AM UNBREAKABLE.
