In recent events I had to come to terms with my bad choices being honest with myself was necessary but boy was it painful! You never quite measure the amount of pain you cause until your forced to weigh it, the outcome is sometimes worth nothing in comparison to what you could have thrown away.
Truth is harsh sometimes, and can hand a crippling blow but lies are life long scars that leave a bad impression on both you and the victim and make you untrustworthy, unreliable and sometimes unlovable!
People are so used to settling for micro size specks of respect that even when a lie is blatant they ignore it to live in its delusional splendor. Reality lives in the cracks of every story and when you least expect it, conscience creeps in and settles its roots, making life painful and heavy! A lie can be told but it's hard to live with. A perfect person does not exist, imperfection makes it easy to deal bad hands, steal emotions you don't deserve, earn trust you were not worthy of, pretend like your a good person because your intent wasn't to destroy simply to harm but the harm is double fold when it's you wearing the tight shoes of deception! Truth is beautiful even when it hurts because it is crystal clear it harbors no pretense and it can not be challenged! Sometimes we hide from it's necessity but the garnish that makes it pretty doesn't make it edible. Truth doesn't need metaphoric expression, it just needs proper illustration and comprehension.
Next time a lie wants to slip your lips please remember that those you hurt whether deserved or not are human and that my friends is the string that binds us all. Hurt is not prejudice, keep yourself on the right side of the spectrum!
