THE REAL HIP HOP

****
I am from a generation that loved real art. Real poets!

We knew what it felt like to get chills when the beat from Protect your neck Dropped.
We spelled out everything after C.R.E.A.M.
We lost our minds when Method Man Dropped Release Yo' Delf.
I might have bought that album twice!
Biggie came along and took us all by storm with Juicy but changed the world with Gimme the loot and Warning. Raekwon, Old Dirty, Ghost face made us feel accomplished. Roaches out the cereal box was not a game.
Were we ready for Mobb Deep, oh yeah we most definitely were.
Quite storm was not quite at all! Pun made us see the world through unbiased eyes,
he was a lyrical genius!
Joey Crack Repped the Bx and had chubby Puerto Ricans getting more play then spades in a smoke house.
Nas made my first dream car a infinite q45 just because he said if he ruled the world thats the whip he'd have. DMX's bark turned weak people into thugs and Ja Rule made it ok to rap and get the ladies attention by softening the content! Ruff Ryders, Swizz Beats, EVE, Drag On! We can't forget Busta he is king forever! Ya ya ya ya ya
What could we do when The Lox showed us a whole other level of genius, they were so dope they changed there name and got even better! These are just a few of the artist I admire and still play till this day!
There is nothing like the hip hop I grew up loving! The remnants of it still exist in under rated artist like Cory Gunz, Slaughter House, Joe Budden I see you! They sleeping!
Ludacris, who by the way is definitely a New Yorker, yes I am laughing out loud! I miss real Lyrical content. The music that reminded you of where you've been and where you can end up! We lost greats before they got to really shine, PAC was a marketing genius, if Big L were still here I'm sure Hip hop would be much different!
I miss the music that hyped me up in the morning and filled my mind with inspiration! Ive been a writer all my life, and artistry of all sorts brings me inspiration!

What is really up with the music of today?
The metaphors are weak, apparently everybody is born rich and got more hoes than 40 duce at one point, don't front like you don't remember!
I ain't mad at change I'm mad at weak music.
The world is so quick to ride the popular band wagon that they miss the whole point that music today barely makes any sense!
Hip Hop use to be poetic, gritty, grimy and real. No body had time for video hoes and poppin bottles because real artist were sitting home grateful than a mother…… that they were out the hood and could eat whatever the hell they wanted!

Every artist I mentioned is inspiring to me! Thats not to say that all the hip hop artist of today are wack! Just not my cup of tea. If you put all the popular artist today in a rap battle with all the underground completely under rated artist or some of the greats trust me this piece will make 100% sense! To compare then and now would be cruel and unfair!
The substance above ground is diluted almost unrecognizable, the underground has to represent and revive hip hop. As I said not all artist today are bad! Some don't conform, but very seldom do rebels of redundancy prevail! I wish music did to me what it use too!
I'm forever grateful for the fact that I can still listen and vibe out to the classic geniuses but It would be nice to get that ole thing back, remolded with the same quality! I need something memorable and timeless not catchy!!!!
DEAR HIP HOP PLEASE COME BACK!
