The level of respect And love that I have for this artist is unmeasurable! All I can do is hope that my level of admiration will be visable and both you the reader and Mr. Dave Hollister will understand how powerful music is when it reaches the depths of someone's heart! NHM

I'm sure you all remember the group Blackstreet, they dropped the amazing single, " Can I get A kiss goodnight". I believe that's the first time I knew Dave Hollister vocally was an asset to the group but would be amazing as a solo artist. His voice naturally stood out, it made every hair on your body stand and hypnotized you instantly! When I realized he was no longer a member of the group I never again listened to anything Blackstreet produced thereafter. I know that's harsh but when someone moves you, It is what it is!
It was'nt until 1999 when I was meeting up with my friend Doug in his barbershop, Dougie's Den that I experienced Mr. Hollister in all his glory.
I was going through the worst break-up, typical; I know, but he helped me smile! When I walked in the shop, Doug was bellowing out the lyrics to "Baby Mama Drama" from the album Ghetto Hymns. Oh my God, there are no words to describe what I felt.
My body went crazy, s as he sang
"What the hell is goin on Ya got 5'o knockin at my door 6 in the morning, I think you better let it go, I told once before that we ain't crushin no more". I reminisce on how I use to trip, spent all my money for that rollie on your wrist, but now it's not the same cause ya caught up in the game, it's funny how the money change things". He's the truth!

I was in love with his style, his voice was flawless, his swag was on 100, and he was the only person in the game with that sound. He was street but melodic, it was like a symphony of greatness! (Can you tell I love him)
The next morning I bought the album and will confess to you that I bought that album twice because I played it till the CD stopped working. Till this very day it is on my favorite's in my Ipod. That say's a whole lot about an artist. Timeless classic is an understatement.

Usually artist don't make amazing albums back to back but Dave shocked me even more when he dropped " Chicago85'. I call that album, the album that saved my life!
From the interlude 'I'm not Complete" I knew I was in for the ride of my life!.
I'm a person who isn't easily moved so when I tell you I could'nt stay still, I'm not lying! Chicago85 is tattood in my heart! It taught me what I deserved as a woman, what the right man had to illustrate. It told me my baby daddy was blocking my happiness. It made me believe in one woman men, He showed me that when you've been through everything with someone you have to keep fighting. "You Can't say" Is probably one of the dopest songs ever!
Don't take your love away showed me that your homegirls can be so thrifling if they see you happy with your man! Destiny still makes me cry, it's so beautiful! Every song was personal to me in some way. "On the Side" was the best slide off song ever made lol. A woman will empowered me and showed me a different perspective about myself. It showed me that I was worth a great man and all that took me for granted stood to lose a great thing!
That is why I say that Chicago85 saved my life!

He dropped Real talk which didn't barely receive any airplay which is sad. But it's the consumers fault not the artist!
The radio plays so much junk nowadays. I've always found that great artist are under rated while artist that are enhanced with auto tunes and other techniques get over played! Dave Hollister is an artist and a master at his craft. He is fueled by a passion brought about by real life experience. He's a God fearing man who is classy and molded by moral. He sings his lungs out And I'm always ready to absorb every word! I'm not a fan because I don't believe that you can be a fan of a person but I am by far his biggest supporter. His humility is motivating and respectable. I have spoken to him via twitter and he always is so humble. I can't tell you how much I am anticipating a new album but It is my hope that this piece will move you to look him up, buy every album he's ever made and when his new album drops in February be the first on line to purchase the best album you've ever heard!
I TOTALLY LOVE DAVE HOLLISTER
I HOPE I'VE INTRODUCED YOU TO LOVING HIM ALSO!
