BLACK ROSE
By: NHM

Remember every word ever said, they lie dormant in the hearts crevices. Even when it proved itself to be poisonous you ingested it like a favorite beverage. Selfish indulgence, delusion at its best, nothing more tragic than lies from a best friend. No regrets, modeled and molded in memory. After the smoke clears suddenly remember me. Motive is a slithering serpent devouring its prey harmful in various ways. Hollow damp and dark the games the mind can play, empty is the position I use to play. Invaded reality overcome by fake, guess that's the price you pay when you allow yourself to associate with the wrong way.
Puzzled by the changes a day could make, laughter echoes as I told you so is on instant replay.  Walls crumbled and defenses failed to protect. You know better but you chance it anyway. What happened to the unfazed, simple words, now your dazed. If you fail to control emotions you can be victimized by undeserved devotion. A need could cause the emptiness to consume you, filing holes with hollow promises but that path is devastated by darkness. What was once radiant is now dulled by delusion, No confusion You knew what you were doing. White is the purest, red is passion, Yellow depicts a friend but the black that illustrates what it was! Black roses are the image I see when I remember the Old me, the one that was easily fooled by despondency. Someday I'll be better than your memory!
