Delusional Love

I woke up today in profound truth, 

I found myself depleted lost myself in you. 

It was meant to be perfect yet easily destroyed by mistakes so minuscule in comparison, 

was it love or fatal attraction, must be  the latter if goodbye brought on the desire to die, 

night and day day and night my cheeks burned by violent tears. 

I gave you the best of me when that didn't work,

 gave you whats left of me and now whats left of me?

Love, such a complicated emotion that should be easily defined and yet obscure, desolate without effort and euphoric in its early stages. A feeling that can bring the greatest of joys and the worst of pangs, devouring even the strongest with the sharpest of fangs. The smiles make it evident the pep in ones step defines it, the engagement of eyes makes it vividly emblazoned, so much so that the onlooker can decipher the codes of emotion without batting a lash. 

Love, so sharp with its edges but the wrong approach could pierce the skin leaving a scar so detestable that the attempt to dance in its splendor becomes a fear and loneliness becomes preferable. So many crave this dangerous yet pleasurable emotion just to say they've had a once in a lifetime but if not treaded on gently the world could be snatched from your feet. 

People believe that love is perfect but perfect in this world is impossible. We all can be blinded by pleasure that disguises itself as unparalleled but a keen sense is necessary to differentiate  a love worth fighting for or an emotion confused by the necessity to feel! What feels amazing can be totally wrong for us and what is good for us is something we may readily ignore. It's typical in today's society to be intrigued by glitter but glitter is basically speckles of shiny dust and has no value just a visual appeal. Why pursue dust when there is a world harvesting your perfect gem. Don't allow attraction and attention to intrigue to the point of delusion and oblivion. A person meant to be yours is, you don't share him or her, you don't fight the world to be a candidate, you are the only choice. 

I see so many woman on social media sharing men and hating each other, so many men thirsty for a trophy rather than a woman that can hold it down 100%. Using terms like wifey and bae as if those words are the prerequisite for eternal love and loyalty! NO NO NO when will the standard of the world be higher? Wifey is slang and defined as the one you respect enough to avoid her becoming knowledgeable of your indecency and bae that's just ridiculous and is not worth being defined. What happened to proposals for a wife to be and what happened to chivalry? Why is the word beautiful replaced with hot, and the word Ms. with shorty, and why are woman so easily influenced by such small gestures? I believe the explanation is simple, true love is being replaced with lust and attraction, woman are eager to be side chicks because its better to be slightly noticed than completely ignored, people have conformed to lifestyles that are glorified and yet not fully understood. It is not ok to settle for delusion because the pain received from a fooled heart is torturous.  

A woman must be strong know her worth and never settle for anyone or anything that invalidates or decrease her value. Men know your worth as well, take the time to know whom you pursue before you bring babies into the world. A pretty face does not raise your offspring But a woman with bad character instills bad qualities into your children and that dear readers is what we see today! A world filled with loveless, brutal tyrants! Woman are now made famous by being as nasty as possible and men throwing money around are the dream guy, hell no! True love is team work, no it's not perfect and sometimes it fails, sometimes it even goes away, it's not a walk in the park or an easy ride, it's hard work, it's scary but when it is real it is beautiful and it is eternal, there is no delusion in that! There is no delusion in that at all! The only time a person should be a candidate is when they are all you want, when they are all you think about, when they make you smile not even being present! That is when, that is when, that is when!
